Course summary:

Our message is simple: no matter what area of science is your passion, we know how to develop an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset, and we can teach how to turn almost any idea into a successful startup.   

When you’re thinking Israeli innovation, think instant messaging; cherry tomatoes; drip irrigation; USB flash drive; and the world’s smallest video camera that can be swallowed for internal medical examinations, and many other cool inventions.

This mini-course will provide you with many insights into the numerous dimensions and steps of the entrepreneurial process: from the initial seed of a creative thought, all the way to product completion and sales. The aim of this course is to spark your innovative thinking. Israeli way!

Sessions 1: Agents of Change

You’ll get to examine the entrepreneur’s role in the global economy as an agent of change, and an accelerator of innovation and economic development

Session 2: the Idea and the Pitch    

Learn how to generate and develop ideas, and examine the models used to successfully drive an idea forward from an idea sketched out on a napkin to a global platform

Session 3: Startups

Discover the unique characteristics that make up startup companies, and their implications on development and strategy of a city, a region, a nation and the world 

Session 4: MVP

Dive into the concept of Minimal Viable Product (MVP) and learn about essential topics such as business plan writing and IP protection.

Learn about the concepts that make the venture capital market tick: crowdfunding, startup accelerators, incubators, venture capital funds, corporate VC, and start-up financing by investors
